A fish does not load only the line. The load travels through terminal hardware, leader, connection, main line, reel drag and rod before it reaches you. Presentation travels the other direction: rod and reel control line, line controls leader and terminal behavior, and the terminal end has to do the actual job. A setup can be mechanically strong and still be a poor presentation, or present beautifully and fail at one transition.
